How-To Save Money in Your Home: Use Paper Towels, Tissues, Toilet Paper, and Napkins the Smart Way
One of my favorite methods for saving a lot of money over the years is in the form of using paper towels, tissues, toilet paper, and napkins the smart way. Many manufacturers of these paper products manufacture them in double or sometimes even triple ply layers. So if you tear a double ply layer paper product apart for example, you have just found out a way to get twice the product for the same amount of money you purchased it for. Many tissues for the runny nose are conveniently made in triple ply layers. So if you have a box of triple ply layer tissues and tear each of the ply’s apart, it’s like getting three boxes of tissues for the price of just one box of tissues that you spent your money on.
Using these paper products the smart way is a very cost effective way in saving you and your household a lot of money, money that could be better used elsewhere, for monthly utility bills for example. Keep in mind though, that when you do separate the individual layers apart, the thickness is less. However, this thinner layer may be all you need for a simple liquid spill or a light nose wipe. I’ll leave the thinning of the toilet paper sheets up to you to make that decision.
