I’ve had a chance to play Microsoft’s newest installment of the Minecraft franchise, this time on the Xbox One.
This version for the Xbox One still has all that you would expect from Minecraft, such as a Creative and Survival mode, Along with new texture pack demos, including Halo, Mass Effect, and The Elderscrolls V: Skryim.
The first thing I noticed after installing the game, was the draw distance. The horizon in the game is now so much further away, allowing the player to view a greater spance of territory around them.
Map size has also been increased, roughly 37 times larger than prior consoles’ maps.
Along with crisper visuals, the game now runs at a full 60 frames per second. Allowing for smooth and fluid like gameplay.
If you want to have some of your friends and relatives help you construct your new building project, the game also comes with four player split screen. And for those who play on Xbox Live, the service allows you to play with seven other people on one map.
Now that Microsoft has acquired the franchise from Mojang for roughly $2.5 Billion Dollars, Gamers can expect a bright future for the popular open world sandbox social game.
