How to update to the newest version of LibreOffice
1. Launch the LibreOffice desktop application.
In about 20 seconds of the app running, an icon mentioning there is a new version of LibreOffice available will appear on the top right corner of the screen.
2. Select the icon.
A “Check for Updates” window will appear displaying valuable update information about your current LibreOffice version and the newest LibreOffice version available for download.
3. Select “Download…”
Your computer’s default browser will launch and direct you to the LibreOffice.org download page. The page will automatically detect your computer’s operating system information and give you the most recommended LibreOffice version to download for your pc.
4. Select “Download Version x.x.x”
Where the three x’s is the current LibreOffice version available for download.
5. Select “Run.”
Depending on your default browser security settings a security scan may or may not run prior to your download beginning.
After a security scan runs, your download will begin.
6. Once the newest version of LibreOffice has successfully downloaded, the Installation Wizard window will launch and begin computing your system’s requirements.
After the Installation Wizard computes your system’s requirements, simply follow the install prompts to begin installing the newest version of LibreOffice with the program features you have selected.
7. After following the install prompts, select “finish” to exit the Installation Wizard and complete the installation.
