How to Save Money while Eating: Hunt and Fish for Food
We humans come from a lineage of hunters and gatherers. Our ancient ancestors did not have the luxuries or technologies that we have now such as, high-speed internet, ultra high definition 4k television, or social media websites and mobile apps. Our ancient ancestors did not need a full time job to receive a paycheck to use for purchasing food from a grocery store. All they had to do was walk into the tree line and scout for some deer, or check traps for some small game animals. Depending on the number of individuals who make up your household, a single full size adult deer may provide enough meat for many months. A full size elk can provide enough meat for a year or more. Even fishing at secluded rivers and lakes in the mountains can provide a family with an abundance of healthy salmon, trout, and tuna year around, especially if you like to ice fish during the winter months at the northern latitudes. One can always imagine how much that same amount of meat from that deer, elk, or fish would cost if it were purchased at the local grocery store or butcher.
