How to Save Money while Shopping: Purchase Gift Cards for Presents
By giving a gift card to someone, you are allowing that person to go out and purchase a gift that they know they will for sure, like and enjoy for many years to come. Let’s say you do not give them a gift card but instead give them an actual product you purchased at a store. What makes you think without a shadow of a doubt they are going to actually use the product you gave them, let alone, like it?
They might tell you they like it, but you still do not know “for sure,” they will actually use it, even though they simply tell you they like it. By giving someone an actual product from a store you may be doing more harm than good as that person might not like the present, the present may be defective, and the person may have to be force to either throw the present away, try to sell the present to someone else, or stand in the customer service line at the store to try and return the present for a refund.
By giving someone a gift card as a present, they will not only use that gift card to purchase something they know they will use, but there are also money and time savings for yourself by not having to purchase wrapping paper and a gift box, to wrap and box the gift in.
