How-To Save Money in Your Home: Use Plastic Grocery Bags instead of Store Bought Garbage Bags
Instead of purchasing actual garbage bags, we save the plastic grocery bags that our groceries get packed in when checking out at the store at the checkout line. We keep the plastic bags stored inside a dedicated lower cabinet in the kitchen for easy access. For lawn work, we keep some plastic grocery bags in a plastic storage container in the garage so we can simply take one out and use as needed. Sure, for larger necessities you can use store bought garbage/lawn bags, however overall I have found that simply using more of the smaller plastic grocery bags have not only saved me money, but they are easier to carry when full of garbage or lawn debris and they don’t cost me a single penny. By utilizing plastic bags that your groceries get packed in at the store, you are saving your hard earned money by not having to purchase the boxes and boxes of kitchen garbage bags or lawn garbage bags.
