How-To Save Money in Your Home: By Brushing Your Teeth the Smart Way

When I brush my teeth I use a manual toothbrush versus an electric toothbrush, so as to avoid using electricity to charge the battery. By simply using a manual toothbrush I am already saving electricity.

Now how about the water usage? My water faucet has an average flow rate of around one gallon per minute. It takes me about sixty seconds to brush my teeth, which, if I leave the water running, is equal to about one gallon of wasted water. By only turning the water on to rinse my toothbrush whenever it requires rinsing, I am only paying for the water that I use.
