How to Save Money on Your Property: Have Desert Landscaping for Water and Electricity Savings
I have lived in desert environments before and have noticed there is just as much beauty in a desert landscape as there is in a greener landscape. Even when out on my morning hikes in both the desert and in greener environments, I have also noticed that there is more plant life and animal life in an Eco-friendly desert environment. The greener landscapes are lusher; however the desert landscapes are richer and have more of a variety in both plant life and animal life.
When we opted to move to the desert I would see many homeowners constantly watering their lawns to keep the grasses lusher and greener and I thought to myself “why anyone would like to just use all that water and waste all their money for a huge water bill just to have greener grass?”
We chose to have a desert landscape with no watering system at all, and we have more plant life growing in our yards and more birds and other wildlife that visit our yards on a daily basis than anyone else in our neighborhood that has a greener landscape. There are more birds, reptiles, and colorful insects that visit our property’s desert landscaping than our neighbor’s water-wasting green grass landscaping. Not only has our water bill decreased, but we are able to also enjoy more of what Mother Nature naturally provides in and landscape with an Eco-system that is naturally tailored to the desert environment in both our front and back yards.
