1. You lack critical thinking skills.
  2. If you don’t call in “sick” constantly then you’ll be let go.

  4. You’re expected to work on your days off rather than having a healthy work/life balance.
  5. If you’re a minor you are still expected to take ten minute breaks rather than fifteen minute breaks as required by law.
  6. You’re managers want your mobile number, not for emergency purposes but rather so they can call you in to work during your days off.
  7. It’s not what you know but who you know if you want to get any type of promotion or pay raise.
  8. You are expected to do a certain amount of work and tasks that are unfeasible in the amount of time your manager scheduled you for that shift.
  9. The company comes before the employees.
  10. Having open availability takes priority over having a healthy work/life balance.
  11. You are expected to clean up after your coworkers.
  12. The more that management likes you then the more entitled you are.
  13. The more seniority you have then the more entitled you are.
  14. The more that management like you then the more you can get away with inappropriate behavior.
  15. Your boss is half your age.
  16. The management doesn’t have your best interest at heart.
  17. The only way you can get a pay raise is by joining a union.
  18. Filing a complaint with the company’s human resources department is the same as when a police department investigates themselves. They’ll never be found guilty and you’ll never be found innocent.
  19. If you don’t roll out the red carpet when your manager walks in then be prepared to get reprimanded.
  20. The only way to get a promotion or pay raise is to polish your manager’s shoes.
  21. You never hear your bosses encouraging you to be as financially independent as you possibly can.
  22. You never hear your bosses tell you the benefits of being self employed, investing in the stock market, or dividend growth investing.
  23. You are expected to do the work of others.
  24. If you don’t arrive late then you’ll get sent home.
  25. Rather than having a healthy work/life balance you are expected to work longer than your scheduled shift.
  26. Your manager takes vacations but when you ask for a vacation they look at you weird, like; “How dare you ask for time off that you earned.”
  27. Your manager wants you to have open availability, not so you can work enough hours to help pay your living expenses, but rather to call you into work during your days off.
  28. Management fails to tell you that whatever vacation time you accrue during that year doesn’t roll over into the following year. But shhh… that’s their little secret that they don’t want you to know.
  29. The sale products are more expensive than the overpriced products.
  30. The only way to get ahead is to lag behind.
  31. You are physically and mentally drained at the end of each shift.
  32. They saying; “Don’t let your work define who you are” doesn’t apply.
  33. It’s their way or the highway.
  34. Employees who have more seniority think they have more entitlement.
  35. The company’s profitability takes priority over a healthy work/life balance for the employees.
  36. The manager expects you to have the same personality as them.
  37. The managers socialize more with each other rather than with their employees.
  38. The managers can’t wait to find fault with the hard working employees.

  41. The only form of communication in the breakroom is gossiping about other employees.
  42. Employees with higher seniority get retirement parties while everyone else just gets taken off the schedule.
  43. There’s more flies in the breakroom than there are employees in the whole store.
  44. You make minimum wage.
  45. Cashiers are forced to stand in one place for hours at a time without a break.
  46. The most entitled employee is the assistant manager.
  47. Your manager expects you to be at work during the holidays rather than spending those holidays with your family.
  48. The customers expect a red carpet to be rolled out in front of them the moment they walk through the door.
  49. You see a customer knock an item off the shelf and not pick it up.
  50. The customers expect the employees to hold their hand and walk them throughout the store.
  51. Unfair labor practices occur quite frequently.
  52. It’s not what you know but who you know.
  53. The customers expect the employees to be litter control for the parking lot.
  54. Minors are allowed to operate the cardboard baler.
  55. The customers complain about the price of expensive products on sale.
  56. The line for returns at the customer service desk is longer than the lines at the checkstands.
  57. The customers are always correct even when they’re wrong.
  58. The majority of the customers wear pajamas while they shop.
  59. You’re starting to rethink your life.
  60. The only way to become entitled is to work with your cellphone in your hand.
  61. You have to fake it until you make it.
  62. The customers take higher priority than the employees.
  63. The more seniority you have, the more entitled you are.
  64. The only form of inter departmental communication is by writing notes to each other with highlighters and sharpies.
  65. You hear more talk of playing fantasy football rather than investing in the stock market.
  66. The only privileged employees are the entitled employees.
  67. You’ll be let go if you don’t pick up the slack of the person who called in “sick” in the same amount of time that you are scheduled.

  69. A company’s stock purchase plan is only made known to the entitled employees.

  84. The management team consists of highschoolers.
  85. You get reprimanded for your manager’s incompetency.
  86. Your manager never discusses financial independence methods with you.
  87. You are expected to do the work like a robot.
  88. The customers expect a shopping cart to gravitate towards their hands the moment they walk through the door rather than walking ten extra feet to the cart stall and grabbing a shopping cart themselves.
  89. The more gossiping you do the less often you have to dress in uniform.
  90. Only the entitled employees are shown the schematic for their department’s product placement.
  91. You are expected to nod your head and obey to the demands from the throne masters at the top.
  92. The corporate executives know how to do your job better than you.
  93. You are transferred to a different department because your previous manager valued the other employees more than you.
