Often times I get asked if I could share with someone just one thing…just one observable phenomenon that no one on Earth can comprehend, what would it be?
This particular phenomenon is both easily noticeable yet uncomprehendable. A phenomenon that has boggled my over active imagination for many years.
What I want to talk about is the meshing of dreams and the conscious reality and the fine line if there ever was any that divides the two. Sure, some dreams could simply be the casual memory dump as our consciousness processes and solves the days experiences; however, I think there is more to the dream phenomena than meets the eye. The third eye. The pineal gland.
Example 1
Imagine for a moment that you live in a two story home. You are lying in bed in your bedroom downstairs fast asleep. Rapid eye movement begins and you start to dream. And in your dream you are driving in your car and you pull into your driveway. You put the car in park, turn off the ignition, and unbuckle your seat belt. You open the door and step out of the car. Once you are out of the car, you begin to close the door.
At that exact moment in time when you are dreaming
your pet cat has walked into the upstairs dining room directly above your bedroom. The cat jumps onto the dining room table, slides a little on the table cloth and bumps into the flower vase.
While you are closing your car door in your dream, the flower vase in the dining room above you has rolled off the table and is now falling to the floor.
At the exact same time…your car door closes and the flower vase hits the floor.
THUD!
And you wake up.
What are the chances that you just happened to live in a two story home at that time, sleep in a bedroom on the bottom level, get sleepy, lay in bed, fall asleep, dream a specific type of dream with an event that starts at a particular time that towards the end of the event would cause a “thud” sound (you closing your car door) coincide with you living in a two story home with a dining room directly above your bedroom, a flower vase on the dining room table, you just so happen to own a cat, the cat for some reason during that evening jumps onto the table, slides on the table that just so happens to have a table cloth on it, the cat bumps into the flower vase that just happens to be in the cat’s way, the flower vase falls off the table, and AT THE EXACT SAME TIME in real life the vase hits the floor WHILE IN YOUR DREAM you shut your car door and one “Thud!” is heard which wakes you up.
Do you see where I am going with this?
Here is another example…
Example 2
You live in a home in which your bedroom, that happens to be at ground level, has a window (with the blinds open) that faces the driveway. You just got home from a long day at work. After driving up the driveway on the far side from your bedroom window, you pull your car into the garage. You head inside, eat something, and unwind. Soon after you get relaxed, you take a shower and lie down in bed. As rapid eye movement begins, you start to dream. In your dream you are walking on the sidewalk in a city at night. You look around at all the colorful city lights and the glaring headlights of the various cars as they drive past you. As you approach an intersection, a car driving on a perpendicular street makes a turn in your direction.
At that exact moment in time when you are dreaming
your wife, who has worked late that night as well, drives her car and begins to approach your guys’ home. She gets closer and closer to the home as she continues to drive down the street. As she approaches the house, she makes the turn up the driveway (near your bedroom window side).
In your dream, as the driver in the car makes the turn to head towards you and drive down the street in your direction (opposite of the direction you are walking), your wife is pulling into the driveway.
At that exact same time…the glare from the headlights of the car in your dream that turns the corner at the intersection ahead of you blinds you for a moment while the headlights from your wife’s car shines into your bedroom window and wakes you up.
What are the chances that you are married, you and your wife own a home and sleep in a bedroom near the driveway and that you are old enough to have a specific type of job that you happened to work untill a specific time that night and just so happened to get home from work at that specific time, drive your car on a certain side of the driveway (the far side from your bedroom window so your wife would have to end up driving up the side of the driveway nearest your bedroom window), lay down in bed, fall asleep, start dreaming, start dreaming a specific type of dream with events involving bright lights (the city lights and the headlights from the cars driving past you, but more specifically the headlights from the driver’s car that turned the corner to drive down the street towards you and opposite of your walking direction) while at the same time your wife has a specific type of job and just so happened to work till a certain time that night to get home at a certain time and pull into the driveway (near your bedroom window side) so her car’s headlights shine through your bedroom window (that just so happened to have the blinds open) and wake you up.
The timing of prominent sensory impulses in our dreams such as sounds (the thud) and visual stimulations (the car’s headlights) were already going to coincide with prominent sensory impulses in our reality. It’s as if each event in our life has a specific start and stop time with the beginning and ending of events in our conscious reality coinciding with the timing of events in our dreams. It’s as if each event in our life has a specific start and stop time with the beginning and ending of events in our conscious reality coinciding with the timing of events in our dreams.
What exactly are dreams?
Are dreams our past life memories?
When we sleep, are we dreaming or remembering?
What is reality?
Rather than being separate entities, are our dreams a part of our reality?
Consciousness drifting
After meditating on this particular phenomenon I suspect that we live in a multi dimensional universe with infinite dimensions folding into and unfolding out of each other. I theorize that our consciousness can exist in multiple dimensions at once; however, our consciousness’ awareness is only manifested in one of our consciousnesses at any given time. Only one of our consciousnesses are self aware at a time. When that awareness leaves one of our consciousnesses such as via dreaming then our awareness finds a suitable dimension that one of our other consciousnesses is a part of and enables that particular consciousness to be self aware.
In other words when we dream our consciousness is self aware in another dimension and when that self awareness leaves that particular dimension it finds one of our other consciousnesses in another dimension and becomes self aware again and so on and so forth. And each time our self awareness is manifested into one of our other consciousnesses, that new dimensional reality may be in a different time period on earth or may even be on an entirely different planet in an entirely different universe where the known laws of physics don’t apply.
Deja vu
If we factor in the deja vu phenomena we may need to take a different approach when attempting to understand the reality of dreams. For instance, dream sequences could be deja vu moments that we have in alternate universes while we sleep in our universe. So let’s say you had a dream last night while you were asleep. You recall that dream and tell me what it was about. That complete dream sequence that you dreamed last night was actually a deja vu moment that you were experiencing in an alternate universe. The same would be true whenever you have a deja vu moment in our universe. Deja vu moments that we experience in our universe are actually dream sequences that occur when we are asleep and dreaming in alternate universes.
This place really is a fairytale!
OmgWtfBbq is this place!?!?!
Are these unusual coinciding events merely coincidences or has the fate of our destinies already been foretold?
