How to Save Time in your Home: Cook and Prepare Dinners for the Week Ahead
Let us face reality, nobody wants to spend valuable time preparing and cooking a meal after an eight hour work day, (the day is longer if you include the time spent driving to and from the workplace and even to the gas station or local super market). By cooking all your meals during the weekend such as on Sunday, you are freeing yourself up that same amount of time the following week, which would be spent on each individual day, to relax and enjoy that same meal, since it was prepared days in advance.
What I usually do is cook and prepare all of my dinner meals on Sunday and put them in individual containers or zip lock bags. I use my large freezer to freeze those prepared meals so they will last the entire work week. And simply the night before I will pull a meal out and place it in the refrigerator for defrosting so it will be ready to heat and eat the following day. Preparing and cooking dinners for the week ahead is one of the best time saving methods to allow you the opportunity to spend that same amount of time doing something more enjoyable than preparing and cooking meals each and every single day.
