1. Locate the link to your cPanel (Control Panel) from your web host, such as HostGator.com
2. Login with your username and password
3. Scroll down to the sixth category called “Files”
4. Locate and click on “Backups” link (might be top left option)
5. Under “Backups > Full Backup,” locate and click on “Download a Full Website Backup” button
6. Under “Generate a Full Backup,” specify a “Backup Destination” and whether or not to send an Email alert upon backup completion
7. Click “Generate Backup”
8. Wait until “Backup In Progress” finishes
9. Click on the name of the backup to download
10. Choose “Save As”
11. Specify a location to download the backup file, either to an internal computer storage device or an external storage device
12. Verify database backup file was properly downloaded and backed-up
