I remember I use to play bolo ball on my old pentium 1 pc many many years ago. I was a youngen then. Every day after school, inbetween homework and breaks, I would hop onto my own pc in my bedroom and play a few games. Mech Warrior was a hit and the shit! back then in the early 90’s. These games coupled with alot of soda, “though not anymore” made up alot of my life. I discovered some more games that I used up many hours of my life on…Duke Nukem, Doom I, Doom II, Wolfvenstein…still remember some of the codes “IDDQD” and “IDKFA” for doom’s god mode and unlimitted ammo/weapons. Duke Nukem was pretty awesome, especially out gunning that boss in the football field, pure goodness for sure! I latter discovered the Age of Empires series while still in highschool, so I gave up playing “Magic The Gathering” the card game, for Age of Empires. Those were the good ole days, eating beef jerky, drinking coffee(my coffee obsession begins with this game) and lots and lots of pizza. I also began to play the Red Alert series, and Empire Earth games. Though not as “fun” as Age of Empires, I stuck with it. I then found out about Starcraft, though it really was no fun being wooped upon by those crazy koreans(pros at Starcraft) I went back to Age of Empires. When I noticed “The Zone” hosted contests with cash prizes for Age of Empires games, I began to battle it out with some of the gamers there. The first cash prize I earned was during a contest involving Age of Kings: The Conquerours expanision, I was the mayans and wooped 5 opponents in a row. This is when I began tinkering around with some of these new civilizations the expansion added, my top favorites include…Spanish, Mayans, Aztec.
This was a quick background of my pc gaming that began whilst still in elementrary school, and will soon be expanding with more promising games in the not so distant future.
There is no sign of slowing, and only growth, in my ever increasing obsession of pc gaming.
