It is the year 2113, and the world has changed quite a bit since the Omega Corporation invented advanced robotics. However, because the Omega Corporation employs 90% of the world, areas without an Omega Corporation factory or store were desperately poor, almost to poverty levels (some in poverty too). One such neighborhood is New Markham, an old 1800’s style neighborhood, with most of the original buildings still up but in very poor condition, as most families cannot afford to fix their homes.

The Omega Corporation was created in the late 2010’s, and started to grow massively with the invention of the cyborg body and advanced robotics. So much, the USA fell into anarchy and the Omega Corporation replaced the democratic government. Now, the world is completely ran by the company, and you either must work for the Omega Corporation or you live in poverty.

On the corner of 3rd Street and Main Street, a small convenience store is seen, where people who have the smallest amount of cash could maybe get a bag of chips. It was created by the Omega Corporation to relieve the damage they’ve done to the world, by putting stores in the poorer neighborhoods. The store has bars around the window, bulletproof glass around the checkout, and a young man standing outside. He has blonde hair, casual clothing, and a metallic body. He is a cyborg, which he became a cyborg four years ago today.

He is the security guard for the store. His name is Genos, and had to take a job with the Omega Corporation to support his human family, even though he really did not want to. He sees a guy with a suspicious bag, as he can tell with his X-ray vision, and stops the guy. “As per Omega Corporation law, I must arrest you for suspicious activity.” Genos says as he powers up a laser built into his hand….

As Genos laser powers up, a small spark flies out of his hand and the laser stops working. The criminal runs once the laser fails. Genos attmepts to run after the guy, but an error box appears in front of his vision, which he can see but no one else can see. “ERROR 7: Critical battery level!” it says, despite his battery being at 100%, and it is a sunny day, meaning his solar panel on the back of his body should be working.

His body is a 100X Model A-10, a cyborg body created by the Omega Corporation in 2109. He is paralyzed temporarily, not being able to move due to the error. Genos had no idea, but the Omega Corporation had found out he is not in support of the Omega Corporation himself, and was sent a virus to re-program his storage unit to be for the company. The error only appeared to distract him while the re-programming process went on.

He eventually re-booted, his first thought being that he must go to Omega Corporation HQ in the Capital District to be re-assigned. Genos started his teleport function (labelled TELEPORT.EXE on his internal desktop) and arrived at the headquarters. He was then told he must destroy his neighborhood of New Markham. “Yes my master. I shall.” he said. He was now part of the Rebel Cyborgs, a group of cyborgs who use their powers for evil instead of good, such as his former self.

He teleported back to New Markham and planted a hydrogen bomb inside the convenience store he worked at. “This should kill those Omega Corporation enemies.” Genos noted, as he teleported back to HQ for initiation into the Rebels, which involved modifying his cyborg suit to more of a full cyborg body.

His hair was shaved off, as the head becomes partially mechanic, and then was given a mechanical tranquilizer that would shut down his body for 12 hours. The surgeons start peeling his skin off, and replacing it with metallic parts. After his surgery, he was upgraded to a Destruction Machine, and headed off to register under the Corporation’s Rebel ID program, and to have his Cyborg Identification ID barcode stamped onto what was left of his human head.
